Latte eats about 1 cup total of her food daily. She has never had human food due to her many food and skin allergies. She can have a ⅓ cup in the morning and evening, with a snack around lunch time, that is under half the purple cup. She'll get another one of those snacks around 9-9:30PM, or later if we are out at dinner or something. The goal is to ensure she doesn’t sleep on an empty stomach. We have found that too much time between bedtime and breakfast increases her chance of throwing up in the morning.
She knows must poop in the morning and evening before eating breakfast or dinner. This is decrease the chances of her throwing up. If you have a hard time getting her to poop, try walking her a little and tell her to "go poop" or "poop Latte".
If she poops a second time during the day, she does not have to poop before dinner, but should try again before bedtime. The goal is two poops per day.
Latte has Apoquel for her skin bumps. These bumps look like scabs and fall off with small bits of her fur, which is normal. If her skin looks very bad (usually around her belly and lady parts), you can give her half a pill (blue bottle) and crush it up in her food.
Likewise, she has seasonal allergies. She can have a Benedryl (generic brand is fine, nothing over 25mg) crushed up in her food.
We give her half a pill of generic Pepto crushed up with her food. She knows it helps her and will usually eat it right up. If she doesn't eat right away, leave the food out and she'll eat when she's ready.
